Ah, that feeling when you finally finish something you are actually proud of.
Well, finished enough. I suppose there's the possibility of coloring this but... holy hell. Inking this thing was hard enough. Still, I might throw some colors on.
Oh, and this is meant to be platonic, aight? If you want to see something more then by all means go for it. I aint judging because I ship that shit myself. HA! Platonic parent/child pictures make me happy and I happen to firmly believe that Dracula has a ridiculous soft spot for his son. If he didn't, I doubt he ever would have succeeded in overcoming his inner darkness. :3
Lemme just say that this is a sort of narrative picture of the "What If?" situation where, instead of Alucard finding out who he is by way of the Lost Soul/Mirror of Fate, Dracula got to him first. Or rather he destroyed the Lost Soul and probably bashed the Mirror Of Fate up because he's tired of fate fucking round with him. So the border scenes are in order of left to right - Lost Soul waiting for Alucard to wake up, Dracula sneaking up and grabbing the Lost Soul, Dracula waiting as Alucard rises from his tomb. Then, of course, the central image is the "Who am I?" scene. Easy, right?
The border is meant to sort of represent the Mirror of Fate - An angel and a dragon - and the actual hand sized mirror is in the border too. Because I am a fan of throwing in little details I have a nod to the original Castlevania within the angel. There is the heart, eye, rib, ring, and tooth of Dracula. Nifty. Pointless, but nifty.
You have NO IDEA how hard I was routing for Alucard and Dracula to make up throughout the LoS series, hell, I've been routing for that in the original Castlevania. I just want them to be a goddamn family. Lack luster ending or not, at least LoS:2 left it open enough you can assume, if you want, that these two reconcile and work on forging the father/son relationship they were denied because of shenanigans.

Have you read fanfiction named One Light Burning on fanfiction.net? It actually has a similar starting point like this. I recommend it, it's one of the best LoS stories there is.
