Retooling of an old piece that I had sketched before for something a little closer to heart. This is my Legacy of Kain OC with her loyal red raven Baldur having a sorrowful moment thinking about a lost loved one.

This picture I sort of did in memory of a very good friend from DA, who passed on far too soon a few years ago. She was super sweet and always fun to chat with and taught me that there were people who made RPing fun and I miss her terribly.
I've teared up many times thinking about her over the years. Since finding out about her I pretty much retreated from the Legacy of Kain fandom and left DA altogether not long after though real life played into that too. She was definitely an anchor for me and helped keep the LoK fandom "fun" especially since we RP'd. I will always hold our RP sessions very dear even if we didn't get to do it often.

We were both fans of Legacy of Kain and she and I had fan characters and after chatting we decided her character, Julianna, would be the vampiric siress to Raea, my character, and raise her as her vampiric daughter. We had fun. We talked about the adventures our chars would have. I lost a valuable friend and my character I guess lost her "mother".

I miss playing with this character. She had potential to be fun but I certainly hit a wall after Jul passed on. How can this character go on without her mentor, friend, protector, parent? I wondered that often. *shrugs* It hurts to try and pick up again and go on without my beloved Jul... but I think she'd bitch slap me if I killed off this character over her. So I think I'll try and revive this little girl. Who knows maybe I'll find a lovely soul like Jul who I can RP with as freely as I did her someday. I'll at least draw her from time to time.

I hope none of you who knew ~Jewel-Reaver find any offense in this or any other future dedication like pictures I might make. Jul was a wonderful carefree friend first and foremost and a big influence in the creation of this character. This character would likely never have gotten this far without her...

For you my wonderful vampire mommy, miss you. Lots.
