Maaaan I stayed up too late finishing this up and I'm gonna pay for it at work that's for sure. :*( Oh well working with watercolors was kinda fun.
Having a grand total of two days to conceive draw and color this for the contest over at AQWorlds was a bit tricky. I'm not totally satisfied with the end product - personally I wanted to draw a fabulous battle scene with several of the AE team buuut I just didn't have the time. I did manage to work out this lil scene with my character, AndreAla Rae, who realizes too late the perils of trusting Artix with the map. Dun Dun Dun...
...poor Warlic. He looks like a massive headache is coming on.

Is this watercolor? Whatever it is, great job with the pen details! I've used watercolor and Sharpie pen before; I outline with a Sharpie marker, do the details with a pen, and everything else with a medium-point pen. But I'm wondering how did you decide where to use the pen in this piece? I'd like to experiment with this style, but I'm worried I'll end up outlining everything or overdoing it.
