CV: Lucifer sketches

So I've been hankering to draw Lucifer from Castlevania: Lords of Shadow lately since there is a SAD lack of any fanart for him anywhere! So I finally managed to fudge around and make a couple sketches over the past two days which I'm kinda pleased with though I could have done so much better on Alucard. Oh Alucard! Why can't I draw you? *weeps* Anyways I thought Lucifer's overall design was preeeeeetty badass. Naked + black smoke to cover your naughty bits = *Haaaaaaappy face!* I myself took the mist/fog and kinda ran with it though. Seriously, why couldn't those guys that made his character have thrown in a few wings and snakes? He's not only a fallen angel but THE fallen angel! Glam that guy up!



Actually I've been mulling round an idear in my head that basically involves mashing up the lore of Lords of Shadow with the previous Castlevania games despite the two having no actual connection to one another. It's called picking and choosing and I do that quite often. The story would pretty much take place around the end of Dawn of Sorrow with Soma having become the new "Dracula" and Julius, Alucard, and Yoko failing to take him down and become his new playthings to do with as he will.
So such wonderful things happen such as sending his minions to make their life hell, forcing Alucard to choose one of his companions to send to their death _{(...he picks to save Julius because they got something going alright? Not to mention gotta preserve that Belmont clan!)}, and of course turning Julius into a vampire just to crush Alucard's spirit. (Well damn, so much for keeping that Belmont clan alive...). Pretty much the whole thing is just a big ol bag of "in your face!" for Alucard.


Ultimately Alucard ends up accidnetly reviving Lucifer - with a little bit of persuasion from the prince of Darkness himself - when he finds and kills Yoko (to put her out of her misery for she is...not in one piece we'll say when he finds her there since apparently her punishment was a long painful death) on an alter that helps bind Lucifer to hell. It'sa bloooooood ritual oh noeees.
So the bottom picture is just a scene from when Lucifer is released and he meets Alucard...he figures out pretty quickly that Alucard is Gabriel's son and decides he can't pass up a chance to add to his revenge against Gabriel for fucking his plans up to throw God from his high horse. Oh yes he's got plans alright...
